Golden Pixel Trophy and Gutenberg Award
With the Golden Pixel Trophy, an overall winner of all categories has been determined for the tenth time. It is a challenge cup, which is passed on annually to the new overall winner. The Gutenberg Award presented by the VFG honors outstanding personalities in the printing industry and was presented for the first time at the Golden Pixel Gala 2014.
For the first time: Golden Pixel Innovation Award
There was one innovation at the 2018 gala event: the Golden Pixel Innovation Prize was awarded for the first time. New, innovative and future-oriented developments, whether if software, hardware, materials or ideas, are evaluated. The award went to the label printing press Gallus Labelfire which combines digital inkjet printing with conventional printing and converting processes. The award was presented to a delighted Ferdinand Rüesch, Senior Vice President Global Key Accounts Gallus and Member of the Supervisory Board of Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG.
Organizers of these Awards are the EMGroup GmbH with its magazines PRINT & PUBLISHING and PACKAGING as well as the VFG (Verein Forschung für die Graphischen Medien - Association for Research in the Graphic Media).
